Lily vs. Mom

“I hate my fucking freckles!” she mutters.

Caddy hears her complaint.
“Watch your mouth, all that ugliness shouldn't come from an ugly girl.” Caddy grabs the counter top to help lift her. She stands up straight, dusting her pants off. She points her index finger at Lily while walking over to the cupboard and shuffling around bottles. She finds the one she likes; the vodka is her usual pick. She pours a couple shots for herself to numb herself.
“I tell you this because I love you.”  Caddy smiles.
However if you lived in the house or were a complete stranger you could tell that was a fucking lie! Caddy is devoid of any feeling like most humans, in fact she could possibly be an alien. In a serious a note, she is just frigid and hateful.
Whenever Caddy found a chance to lecture or correct Lily, she felt fine to become absolutely sloshed in front of her.
“Oh come on don’t be upset Lily. You know that’s why you hide in those big clothes.” Caddy holds back laughter, and continues to throw back more shots. She exhales very loud
“Whoa!” Caddy yells.
She slams the shot glass down hard.
Caddy has different levels of drinking; nice, bitch, violent, crazy, paranoid, and sleeping.
“No, why do I –dress in big clothes?” Lily asks.
Caddy leans against the blue kitchen counter; she clasps the shot glass in her right hand. Her eyes flutter in irritation.
“Well- If you need me to say it out loud; because your body is like a 10 year-old boys.” Caddy starts laughing.
“Oh shit my stomach hurts, I haven’t laughed so hard in a while!” She covers her stomach with her hand.
Lily sticks her lower jaw out a few times, so she doesn’t say anything. Nevertheless, the stretching didn't work.
“Well mother I must of got this figure from somewhere.
“True your father.” She chuckles.
Caddy throws back her vodka shot.
Lily pushes the table with her boot and walks out of the room.
Right now, she is nice, the best time to scatter before the dark lords of her mind come out and visit.

Caddy didn't hide the fact she hated having a daughter. Lily was nothing she wanted. She reminded her of a Wednesday on the Adams Family; A dark, depressing girl that looked to be brewing all the time. Lily was a constant reminder of her youth she wasted with a man she didn't love.

CHAPTER THREE
 AGE ME LIKE A VAMPIRE
        June 29, 1999
        Afternoon in Charm, Ohio

Caddy wakes up after 12:00 p.m., her drinking binges last into the morning hours every day. Alone in her bedroom Caddy studies her body with micro-eyes in front of her dark mahogany vanity.  Time races at her like a wicked demon. Her fake red fingernails lightly stroke the lines of her small forehead. She then pulls her ivory skin taut. Turning her square shape face to the right and examining her low cheekbones, and slowly diminishing jaw line. Crow’s feet surround her eyes. Over plucked, penciled in eyebrows, compensate for a sagging brow line over her brown eyes. She takes a deep breath and exhales.
She stands up, lifts her shirt, and pulls her pink drawstring pajama bottoms down, to expose her stomach. Her eyes and fingers examine her C-section scar. She turns to the side to see how flat her stomach is, however she seems cursed with a permanent belly.
“For fuck sake, look at this shit!” She mutters.
She runs her hands over her stomach, pressing and pitching the fat.
She shakes her head in disgust.
“Fuck this ageing shit, I thought I would be special like a vampire- and never age.” She whispers.
She sits back down and clicks the radio on to classic rock. Her body sways back and forth to the beat.
She keeps staring at herself in the mirror while opening a drawer; taking a small vodka bottle out. She lets out a sound of glee. Her legs move in and out, her left hand clasp the top of her thigh.
She moves the bottle back and forth listening to the sound of the liquid splashing in the glass bottle.
“That’s the sound I like.” Caddy whispers.
She unscrews the black cap, tossing it on the vanity. She tips the bottle to her lips, and takes a big swig; blows out and coughs loudly from the harshness of the alcohol. She continues to drink while getting ready; she can taste the sweet liqueur on her lips every time she licks.
An urge for a cigarette pulsates through her veins. Quickly she lights her menthol 100 and an ease over comes her.
“Might be getting old but-----
